Terri became hooked on pole since her first pole class during 2013, the year she turned 40 years young with no dance, gymnastics, or athletic experience.

Pole became a passion because she believes pole can make you mentally and physically stronger resulting in increased confidence and is her anti-aging secret! This passion has evolved into also instruction to instill this strength and confidence into her students so they can feel accomplished and proud inside and outside of Starlight while also having fun with this unique niche! Confidence never gets old so age is no excuse!

She's learned from local and worldwide pole communities and combined her education, experiences, and knowledge and incorporated it into her lesson planning. She learns something from every instructor. And being humble, she's also inspired by and learns from her own students, sometimes naming a shape after them.

Her focus will be forever improving and refining fundamentals. She believes leveling up and progress are not just by achieving a harder move or chasing a new move, however improving and refining what you know by working on control, details, flair, flow, lines, point, showcasing, and technique to create unique shapes, variations, entries, transitions, or combos with an inversion or non inverting inversion. Your harder and new moves will originate from strong fundamentals. This is her multilevel Shapes class at Starlight, the beginners will learn and the experienced will explore or refine.

Along with being a cheerleader, coach, and instructor to her students, she is also a proud wife to a retired Battalion Chief, proud mom to a 3rd generation firefighter, and a retired Registered Dietitian of 25 years.
